"For my sister-in-law. This is a photo of my mother-in-law on her 27th birthday. She passed away two and a half years ago and her mark on this family and her friends is indelible. Joanie was a quilter, each piece of fabric chosen carefully, intentionally so that the receiver of her quilts knew the love and care contained within each stitch. Her life was the same; an assemblage of hearts and souls, chosen by her and then delicately woven together into a beautiful quilt of humanity.
