Share Your Locket Moment
At the Locket Sisters, we believe that some of the most powerful stories live in the quietest moments — witnessing a sunrise in a beautiful setting next to someone you love, and who loves you; a journal entry where you let your heart out, only for your own eyes, setting down something heavy you've been carryting. Or a locket clasped tightly in someone’s hand as they gain the courage to do something really hard.
These aren’t just gifts. They’re small lifelines. They’re the legacy or your own lived life, or the one you're grieiving, or the one you're building.
And some of the most moving parts of our work don’t happen in our Northeast Minneapolis Art District studio. They happen in living rooms, hospital rooms, weddings, baby showers, and gravesites. They happen in your hands, your lives, your stories.
That’s why we’re inviting you to share them.
Why We Want to See—and Share—Your Moments
When you send a photo or video of someone opening their locket, you’re giving us a glimpse into the reason we do this work. The laughs, the tears, the gasps, the hugs. We’ve seen mothers receive lockets with photos of the babies they’ve waited for. Daughters open lockets bearing the image of the father they’ve lost. Friends exchange tokens of love that speak volumes without saying a word.

We’ve seen surprise gifts on Christmas morning, healing tributes after loss, and joyful tears during wedding celebrations. And when you share these moments with us, you remind others that they’re not alone in their love, their grief, their joy, or their memories.
That’s the power of your story, and of these tiny little pieces of jewelry that contain multitudes.
A Few Stories That Have Stuck With Us
We’ve shared many of these moments in our Locket Stories journal, where we highlight the hearts behind the lockets.
Like the story of a mother who had her husband’s photo placed inside a locket for their newborn son—a way to introduce him to the father he never got to meet. She wrote:
“I didn’t want our baby to grow up without knowing his father’s face. This locket is something he’ll carry with him forever.”

Or the woman who turned her locket into a wearable love letter to herself after surviving a difficult chapter in her life.
“It’s my reminder that I’m still here. That I’m strong. That I made it.”

And then there was the locket gifted to a daughter on the anniversary of her father’s passing. Inside was a photo of them dancing at her wedding. Her mother told us:
“She cried when she saw it. We cried with her. It was like he was there with us again.”

How to Share Your Locket Moment
If you’ve gifted or received a locket from us—and you captured the moment in a photo or video—we would be honored if you shared it with us.
Here’s how: Click here to upload your photo or video
Whether it’s a candid phone clip, or a chaotic video, your submission could be featured on our website, social media, or newsletter. It's a way to help others feel connected, inspired, and seen.
When you submit, you’ll be asked to confirm that you own the rights to the photo/video (or have permission to share it) and that you're okay with us sharing it too.
Why It Matters
These stories are not just beautiful—they’re healing. We get messages so often -- privately -- sharing what the lockets mean to them, and how wonderful it was to give or receive. They celebrate love in all its forms. And they show the wide spectrum of emotions and experiences our lockets get to hold.
Thank You Thank You Thank You (seriously)
Creating these lockets is deeply personal to us. And getting to see how they live in the world after they leave our studio—it means everything. Thank you for letting us in. Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside your most sacred moments.
We can’t wait to see more of your stories unfold.
Warmly,
The Locket Sisters
