There’s a moment that happens at almost every gathering in our studio. Someone sets down their coffee, picks up a photo they’ve carried in their wallet for years, and goes quiet for a second. Then the stories start.
Our studio is up in the historic California Building, in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Art District. It’s full of windows. On a clear afternoon the light pours across the worktables and the plants, and it’s the same light we make your lockets in every day. Lately we’ve realized it’s too good a room to keep to ourselves.
An event space in Northeast Minneapolis, made for small gatherings
We love hosting groups. Some come for permanent jewelry, some come to browse lockets together, and some just want a beautiful room where their people can be together for an afternoon. Birthdays, bridal parties, book clubs, team outings, a reunion of old friends: they all fit here.
Mojo’s, the café downstairs, serves coffee drinks and good breakfast and lunch, so a morning or midday gathering can start with a stop on the way up.
Host your own party with permanent jewelry or locket shopping
If you’d like to plan your own event in our space, we’ll be there to take care of the jewelry. Guests can have a permanent jewelry piece welded on, or sit with us and choose a locket and the photo to go inside it. You bring the occasion and the guest list, and we’ll handle the rest of the sparkle.

Hold Them Close: a locket-making circle for moms
Sunday, November 8, 2026, 3–5 p.m., in our studio
Motherhood keeps changing shape. One season you’re walking your little one into kindergarten. In another, you’re waving as a young adult sets off for college, work or travel, or watching your grown children create families of their own. Each one carries the same quiet tension between gratitude and grief.
Hold Them Close is a circle of moms honoring those changing cycles together. Bring a photo, or a few, celebrating what you’re releasing. Over drinks and snacks, you’ll be guided through reflection and craft in the company of a creative community, and you’ll help set your photo into your new locket yourself. You’ll also take home a written keepsake card with prompts to return to later.
The resin needs 48 hours to cure, so we’ll ship your locket to you once it’s dry.
Your $125 ticket includes The Little Locket, our petite round open locket that keeps your photo in view. You can also use it as a $125 credit toward any other locket you fall in love with.
If you’re wondering which photo to bring, our guide to choosing the perfect photo for a locket is a good place to start. If your child is just starting a new chapter, our back-to-school lockets post has more ideas for carrying them with you through the day.
Spots are limited so the circle stays small. Register for Hold Them Close
Lockets for every story, not just the tender ones
Not every gathering here is a heartfelt one, and it doesn’t need to be. Lockets hold best friends, grandparents, a favorite dog, the people you’d want at your table. Whatever brings you in, the room has space for it.
