"My mom has a rare autoimmune disease called Scleroderma. It causes her skin to thicken and if it impacts the internal organs, they can no longer function. Scleroderma killed my mom’s sister in less than two years. Ever day with my mom is a gift. Because of covid, I haven’t been able to see her in almost two years. Our visit is coming soon but I want to have this as a daily physical reminder of how much I love and admire my mom."
