This is a special project hosted by Angie Talle Art, with help from the Locket Sisters and jeweler Sarah Flicek. Purchasing a locket from the "Uvalde Lockets" means you are sponsoring a Big Love locket for a surviving parent or child of the 21 beloved human beings taken at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24th, 2022. Each of the 24 lockets will be a gift to the bereaved parents, and children, of the victims, and will come with a custom charm by Sarah Flicek with the loved one's name. Once completed, Angie Talle will personally deliver the lockets to the families in Uvalde around the second anniversary of their tremendous loss.

Thank you thank you thank you.

Dear friends,
Last year I created mosaic altars/ofrendas for each family in Uvalde who lost a child or parent in the Robb Elementary School massacre.  My family and I drove them to Uvalde and delivered them on the one year anniversary of their heartbreak.  This year, I am partnering with Alyssa Woodford Hughes, the owner of Locket Sisters, to have a locket created for each family with a photo of their loved one tucked inside. In addition to the locket, artist and jeweler Sarah Flicek will help us create a charm wtih each child and teacher's ma,e pm it to add to the necklace.
Here is an opportunity for you to enter in with your love.  I am looking for a sponsor for each locket -- one for each of the mamas who lost a child...and a locket for each of the children who lost a parent.  Alyssa is offering the lockets at cost--donating her time and love to the project.
When you purchase a locket, I will send you a photo and some information about the life you are honoring so you can hold the family in your heart.  I will be returning to Uvalde on May 24th on the second year anniversary to deliver the lockets to each family,
Thank you for your consideration and support
Love,
Angie

At the Locket Sisters, we make meaningful jewelry every day. Often, the pieces we spend time working on are for grieving hearts who are finding their way back to life after loss. We hold space for both their ache and longing, and the joy and love they shared during their time together. When Angie Talle of Angle Talle Art approached me about lockets for survivors in Uvalde, it was a clear yes. Taking loving action in a broken world is a salve on my own heart, and to spend time making lockets for the families of 21 people who met this brokenness in their final moments of life on this Earth, in this body, in this lifetime, is an honor.
