Unlike other lockets you may buy that may not even come with a photo, we not only resize and cut your photo, but also protect it with a long-lasting resin coating that ensures its safety for generations to come.
But what exactly is resin? Simply put, it's the key component that sets our lockets apart. Our 2-part epoxy resin is made up of a resin polymer and a catalyst, which, when combined, undergo a thermic reaction that hardens the resin into the beautifully crafted locket of your choice. With over 40 locket styles to choose from, our liquid resin fills the opening of your locket, sealing your photo inside and creating a glossy, durable, and water-resistant finish. Plus, our resin is 100% food safe and can withstand extreme temperatures and open flames, unlike traditional gold or silver lockets.
Once your locket is "In Production," we enter the resin stage, where we meticulously mix, pour, and craft the resin into its clearest form. Its hardening properties allow us only a few hours to remove any bubbles or flaws that may arise. The resin then takes an additional 24 to 72 hours to completely cure, resulting in a perfect and long-lasting coating. Our complete locket production time typically takes 3 to 8 days.
One common question we receive is whether the photos in our resin-coated lockets can be changed in the future. Due to the durability of our resin coating, the answer is no. However, if you prefer the option to change your photos, simply let us know, and we'll leave the resin coating off your locket. Just make sure to mention it in the comments when placing your order.
