Choosing the Perfect Chain for Your Locket | The Locket Sisters

When it comes to lockets, the chain that holds it is just as important as the locket itself. Without it, the story within would remain hidden away. The beauty of a locket lies in its constant presence, and why keep it tucked away in a pocket when it can shine for all to see?

At The Locket Sisters, we offer over 40 stunning lockets, but only a handful are not accompanied by a chain. Our keychain lockets come with a clip or leather holder, and our Silver and Gold Bangle provides a stylish way to display your locket on your wrist. But for the rest, the perfect chain is an essential element.

In this blog, we will delve into the different chain sizes, designs, and materials available, and how they all come together to create a beautiful piece of jewelry that you won't want to take off.

Chain Designs: From Classic to Unique

Our lockets come with a variety of chain designs, ranging from simple and versatile to specifically designed to complement the locket's unique style.

The classic chain, a customer favorite for years, is made in Italy and boasts a delicate yet durable design in 14k gold vermeil or sterling silver. Available in sizes 16", 18", 20", 24", and 30", the size is chosen at checkout and we attach the locket before shipping. We also offer these chains for purchase separately for those who prefer to have multiple options for wearing their locket.

The Roxie Belle Heart Locket

Our adjustable box chain, also made in Italy, can extend up to 22". Available in 14K gold vermeil or sterling silver, it is a perfect match for The Portrait Locket, which holds a 1.25"x.75" picture.

The satellite chain, crafted in Italy with 925 sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil, adds a touch of texture and character to The Brenda Locket. Available in sizes 16", 18", and 20", this dainty chain with tiny balls complements the small circle pendant beautifully.

For lockets such as The Mandy Locket and The Eloise Locket, we chose an adjustable cable chain to add a special touch to the chrysanthemum and ornate oval pendants. The Oval link is 1.7mm by 1.3mm.

The Hope Locket, on the other hand, comes with a statement-making large oval link chain, available in brass base plated with pure copper, 24k gold, or .999 fine silver in any desired size.

And last but definitely not least, our 14K solid gold chain holds the breathtaking Edith in 14k goldThe Dorothy in 14k gold, and The Ellen in 14k gold. With a wheat-style design in yellow gold, this chain is the epitome of luxury and adds the perfect finishing touch to these exquisite pieces. This chain comes in 18” or 20”.

Chain Size

Discover the perfect fit for your locket with our variety of chain sizes. With options ranging from 16" to 30", you can choose the length that best suits your style and preferences. If you prefer an adjustable chain, it can extend up to 22".

But how do you choose the right size? Consider where you want your locket to hang. A 16" chain will keep it close to your neck, while a 20" or 30" chain will allow it to hang over your clothes, or even under for those who like to keep it more private.

At The Locket Sisters, we understand that bodies come in all shapes and sizes. That's why we offer a variety of sizes to ensure everyone finds a comfortable fit. Our 16" chain is perfect for petite necks and children, while the 20" is our most versatile size that will suit most individuals, regardless of body size.

How to measure your necklace size:

1. Place a soft string around your neck where you want your necklace to be

2. Check the length of the string on a ruler

3. Choose the nearest length as your necklace size
